Adult Education Centres (AEC) is now under the Seven Oaks School Division.
Improving lives of Manitobans since 1999, Adult Education Centres helps you become a confident learner and opens doors of opportunity and personal growth. In a supportive classroom environment, we help adults work toward a Mature Student High School Diploma and prepare you for success in post-secondary education and employment. If you are interested in improving basic math and English skills, we have an adult literacy program to enhance your abilities.
Funded by the province of Manitoba’s Department of Multiculturalism and Literacy, our courses are completely free to you! We also fit around your busy schedule with class offerings in the morning, early afternoon, late afternoon and evening. AEC creates a positive learning environment with a warm, friendly and caring staff that wants to see you succeed at our school and in the future. View and download our current brochure.
Our school offers semestered and trimestered courses. Registration for the semestered courses is in August for the September semester and in January for the February semester. Registration for our trimestered courses is on a continuous basis. You can also find more information in our Student Services section.

Adult Education Centres began in 1999 and had its first crop of graduates in 2000. Each year, our centre graduates an average of 75 happy adults who achieve their high school diplomas. Our adult-focused high school helps Manitobans age 19 and older achieve their diplomas or upgrade their credits so they can move on to further education or improved career prospects.
Adult Education Centres, through funding from the Department of Multiculturalism and Literacy, offers adults the opportunity to take literacy and high school credit courses in a supportive classroom environment.
Many of our students work toward achieving their Mature Student High School Diploma. Others, while they have graduated from high school, are able to take courses they might need for post-secondary institutions or work.
We offer a range of grade 12 courses, including three mathematics options, English options, science courses, literacy classes and other courses needed to prepare students for Grade 12.
Our courses run twice a year. Semester 1 runs from September to the end of January and Semester 2 runs from February through June. Classes are available mornings, early afternoons, late afternoons and evenings, and are scheduled twice a week, either on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. We also offer a trimester schedule.
To provide a supportive, adult-friendly and lifelong learning environment where adults can develop and achieve their personal, educational and career goals through literacy and high school credit courses.
